Couples therapy
For partners who want to communicate better, repair after rupture, or just figure out what's been going wrong.
What it is
Couples therapy is a different format from individual work. Both partners attend sessions together, and the focus is the relationship itself rather than either person individually. Sessions create space to talk about difficult topics with structure and support.
Common reasons couples come in include recurring conflicts, communication breakdowns, recovery after broken trust, parenting disagreements, intimacy concerns, and major life transitions affecting the relationship. Some couples also use therapy to strengthen a relationship that's working but going through a hard stretch, or for premarital preparation.
Our couples work draws from evidence-based frameworks including the Gottman Method and emotionally-focused therapy (EFT). The goal is to help both partners understand the patterns that have developed, communicate more effectively, and work toward the outcomes that matter to them.
