Reaching out for support can be intimidating, and starting the counseling process can feel overwhelming. My goal as a counselor is to create a warm non-judgmental, and friendly environment that fosters connection and growth. I believe that through building rapport and trust within therapeutic relationship we can work together to identify patterns, build on strengths, and find new ways to navigate life's challenges! It is a privilege as a therapist to celebrate progress, and hold space through challenges and support meaningful growth. Whatever may be bringing you to therapy, you deserve a space to feel safe and heard and where you can grow.
My professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families in community-based, school-based and in-home settings. I have spent time working as a family therapist to counsel at-risk families and youth through the family systems model and CBT approaches to create lasting change. I have experience and work with individuals facing a variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and challenges related to identity and independence. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach to counseling alongside a blend of modalities to tailor needs to each individual. Currently I am under clinical supervision as I work toward my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure!
