Yes, we are currently accepting new clients. We work to match every inquiry with a counselor who has space for new clients and who we feel like is a good match based on your needs! 

This can vary a lot depending on your specific insurance or if you plan to pay out of pocket.  Typically, the rate with insurance is the "specialist" rate listed on your insurance card, provided you do not have a deductible or have already met it. 

We’re in-network with Aetna, Capital Blue Cross, Cigna, Geisinger, Highmark, Horizon Blue Cross, Optum, and UnitedHealthcare. If you do not see your plan listed, please reach out and we can talk with you about other options!

Standard sessions are 53 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, but some start with every other week if that makes the most sense for their specific needs.

In the first session we complete a biopsychosocial, which includes the counselor asking about what brought you in, a bit about your history and current situation, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy.  By the end you’ll usually have a sense of how you want to move forward together.

Therapy works best when the fit feels right, and sometimes that takes adjustment. If you don’t feel the connection you need with your counselor, just tell us. We can talk through what’s not working and transfer you to a different counselor in our practice. It’s not awkward and it doesn’t reflect poorly on anyone.
